Dickson, Dickson County

Roof repair and replacement in Dickson.

Dickson grew from a railroad stop into a city of more than 16,000. Its center sits about five miles north of Interstate 40, with a historic downtown, older neighborhoods, and new subdivisions spreading south and east.

Working in Dickson

What we see on Dickson roofs

Dickson began as a stop on the railroad between Nashville and the Tennessee River, known for a time as the Mile 42 post, and took its name from Congressman William Dickson. Historic Downtown Dickson and the Clement Railroad Hotel Museum still point back to that era. The city has grown steadily since 1890, with its biggest recent jump, about 39 percent, between 1990 and 2000, and it passed 16,000 residents at the 2020 census.

Neighborhoods include East Hills near Luther Lake, Druid Hills, Clement Heights, Bellwood Heights, StoneBrook, and Cherry Springs Estates, and new building has been going up south of Highway 70 and east of Highway 46. Highway 70 runs along the north side of town as Henslee Drive. The city center sits on the Tennessee Valley Divide at about 800 feet, and past the city limits the land opens into rolling farmland and acreage toward Montgomery Bell State Park in Burns. On that kind of property we can quote the house, a shop, and a barn together, in shingles or metal.

Dickson is one of the longer drives we make, roughly 70 minutes from Murfreesboro by Interstate 840 and Interstate 40, then north on Highway 46 from Exit 172. Rather than make that trip for one job at a time, we group Dickson County inspections and installs into planned blocks. Phone us with the address and we can tell you when our next Dickson trip is planned.

Common needs

What Dickson homeowners usually call about

House, shop, and barn metal

Standing seam gives a house clean lines, while exposed fastener panels are a practical fit for shops and barns. We can price both on the same property.

One visit, full exterior

If a storm reached the siding or gutters too, we inspect and quote everything in one trip, which matters when the drive is long.

Planned trips west

We group Dickson jobs into scheduled blocks and set install and walkthrough dates before the crew heads out, so you know the plan in advance.

Good questions

Questions from Dickson

Do you put metal roofs on houses in Dickson, or only on barns and shops?

Both. Standing seam works well on a home, and exposed fastener panels are a practical, lower cost choice for outbuildings. We can show you samples and color options during the inspection so you can compare them against your house.

Do you inspect storm damage in Dickson?

Yes. After hail or high wind in Dickson we inspect, photograph, and give you a written summary you can keep or share with your insurer. Read our guide to storm damage and insurance claims before you file anything.
