Lascassas, Rutherford County

Roof repair and replacement in Lascassas.

Lascassas is the unincorporated farm community northeast of Murfreesboro, where Lascassas Pike meets Highway 266 just short of the Wilson County line. At roughly fifteen minutes from our base, it is an easy drive for us.

Working in Lascassas

What we see on Lascassas roofs

Lascassas was never incorporated, and it is still a farming community at heart. Local school records suggest a private academy operated here as early as 1824, and the rock fence in front of the old Lascassas School, known locally as the Courting Wall, can be seen from Lascassas Pike. In 1993 students and teachers walked from the old school to the new Lascassas Elementary on the other side of the road, and a bridge over the Stones River leads into the heart of the community.

From the crossroads, Highway 266 heads south toward Walterhill and north toward Norene in Wilson County, while Lascassas Pike runs east through open farmland toward Milton. Rutherford County grew from about 182,000 people in 2000 to more than 341,000 in 2020, and it lost more than 22,000 acres of farmland between 2014 and 2023. Out here the house may not be the only roof on the property, and barns, shops, and equipment sheds wear out on their own schedule.

Lascassas is close enough that it does not wait for a grouped trip the way our farther towns do. We schedule it like any Murfreesboro address, walk the house and outbuildings, and leave you with photos and a written proposal.

Common needs

What Lascassas homeowners usually call about

County permits, not city

Lascassas sits outside any city limits, so building permit questions go to the Rutherford County Building Codes Department instead of Murfreesboro. We confirm what the county needs before your job goes on the calendar.

Downspouts and sinkholes

Rural Rutherford County has many sinkholes, which makes runoff worth planning for. We route seamless gutters and downspouts to carry roof water away from foundations and low spots.

After a storm passes

After hail or high wind, we inspect the roof, gutters, and siding and photograph what we find. You get a clear record before you decide whether to file an insurance claim.

Can you look at my barn and shop on the same visit as the house?

Yes. Tell us what is on the property when you call. We walk each roof, photograph what we find, and price the house and outbuildings as separate line items, so you can decide whether to do one building or all of them.

Do you inspect storm damage in Lascassas?

Yes. After hail or high wind in Lascassas we inspect, photograph, and give you a written summary you can keep or share with your insurer. Read our guide to storm damage and insurance claims before you file anything.
