Working in College Grove

What we see on College Grove roofs

College Grove was first called Harpeth, then Poplar Grove, and took its current name when the post office opened in 1860. The Bank of College Grove, which opened in 1911, and College Grove Methodist Church are both listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The Harpeth River begins just east of here, in the westernmost corner of Rutherford County, before it winds west toward Franklin.

Housing covers a wide range. Along Horton Highway, Cox Road, and Eudailey Covington Road you can find anything from a 1960s cottage on half an acre to horse farms and equestrian acreage. At the other end, The Grove has custom homes from about 4,000 to more than 13,000 square feet around a Greg Norman Signature course, and Troubadour Golf & Field Club broke ground in 2016 around a Tom Fazio course. Reeds Vale, Falls Grove, and McDaniel Farms add more neighborhoods in between.

Most of the area is rolling pasture, and a house or barn on open ground takes wind from every side with little to slow it down. Many properties rely on septic systems, so we ask where the drain field is before a truck or dumpster goes anywhere near the yard. College Grove is about 30 minutes from Murfreesboro by Interstate 840 to the Horton Highway exit at Triune, then south.

Common needs

What College Grove homeowners usually call about

Barn and stable metal

Horse barns, hay sheds, and shops take long exposed fastener or standing seam panels cut to length, with trim and closures sized to each building.

Club community approvals

The Grove and Troubadour are gated communities. We arrange gate access ahead of time and supply product data and color samples if exterior changes need review.

Williamson and Rutherford line

A small share of College Grove addresses fall on the Rutherford County side. We confirm which county your property sits in before permits come up.
